UAE End-of-Service Gratuity
EasyTime calculates gratuity automatically per UAE Federal Labour Law (Federal Law No. 33 of 2021).
Accessing the Calculator
- Go to Employees → click an employee row to open their profile
- Switch to the Salary tab
- The End-of-Service Gratuity widget appears at the top (if basic salary is configured)
Formula Used
| Service Period | Rate |
|---|---|
| Under 1 year | No gratuity |
| 1–3 years | 21 days' basic salary per year |
| 3–5 years | 21d/yr for first 3 yrs + 30d/yr for additional years |
| Over 5 years | 21d/yr for first 3 + 30d/yr for next 2 + 30d/yr thereafter |
Gratuity is capped at 24 months' basic salary.
Daily Rate
Daily rate = (Basic Salary × 12) ÷ 365
Notes
- Uses basic salary only (excludes allowances per UAE law)
- Calculates as of today by default (you can change the end date)
- Useful for offboarding, HR planning, and provision budgeting
