Filtering Reports by Department, Position, Area & Employee
Last updated: 9/22/2026
Filtering Reports
Most report and record screens (Attendance Reports, Payroll Records, Reports Hub) share the same filter bar so you only need to learn it once.
The Filters
- Department — pick one or more departments (multi-select)
- Position — pick one or more job positions
- Area — pick one or more physical locations
- Employee — opens a searchable picker to hand-select specific employees, useful for a small ad-hoc group that doesn't line up with a department
How They Combine
All active filters are applied together (AND, not OR) — e.g. Department = "Sales" + Area = "Downtown Branch" shows only Sales employees working out of the Downtown branch. Click Clear all to reset everything back to "All".
Tips for Accurate Reports
- Filters only narrow down data that's already correct — if attendance looks wrong for a filtered group, check their Timetable/Shift assignment first, not the filter
- Combine Department + a date range for a clean monthly departmental attendance summary
- Use the Employee picker for one-off audits (e.g. checking a specific employee's late history) instead of scrolling a large unfiltered list
