How to add a new attendance device (ZKTeco / Hikvision)

Automatic registration (recommended)

Most ZKTeco and Hikvision terminals auto-register the first time they're powered on and connected to the same network as your EasyTime server — no manual setup needed. Once it appears under Devices, it's ready.

Manual registration

1. Go to Devices > Add Device.
2. Enter the device's Serial Number (printed on a label on the device, or visible in the device's own network settings menu).
3. Set the device IP address and Area (which physical location/branch it belongs to).
4. Click Save — the device begins syncing on its next check-in (usually within a minute).

Employees not appearing after enrollment?

As soon as a fingerprint or face template is enrolled on the device for a new person, EasyTime auto-creates that employee record (with the device's badge number) on the very next punch — no separate "add employee" step is required for device-enrolled staff.
